We are not a school or an instructional
organization.
We are a group of individuals with various martial arts experience, and we gather to
explore the different self-defense solutions to different types of personal attacks. There
is no training for competition, because in competition there are rules, but in
self-defense there are no rules.
THE STUDENT CREED
I will develop myself in a
positive manner and avoid anything that may impair my mental growth or physical health.
I will develop self discipline
in order to bring out the best in myself and others.
I will use the art of Kenpo
constructively and defensively to help myself and my fellow man and never be abusive or
offensive.
I will live by the principles
of Black Belt, modesty, integrity, perseverance, self-control and indomitable spirit.
Ed Parker
THE KENPO CREED
"I come to you with only
Karate, empty hands, I have no weapons,
but should I be forced to
defend myself, my principles or my honor,
should it be a matter of life
or death, of right or wrong;
then here are my weapons,
Karate, my empty hands."
Ed Parker
GRACIE PHILOSOPHY
Efficiency
Efficiency, the ability to
achieve maximum output with minimum input, is a core principle
Patience
Patience is often the key to
success in a struggle against a larger opponent. Usually, it is not the person who attacks
the most, but the one who exhausts the least who will win
Control
The final objective in a fight
is to impose your will on your opponent.
